If sarri wants to win back the fans he must bench half of the squad. Bring kids to play proper games and let the foundation of sarriball. If he doesn't have the guts then I say, goodbye you spineless !diot

I would love for sarri to succeed and believe a lot more patience would be provided had we seen development of an exciting talent like CHO.

There hasn’t been a game I have seen CHO play where he hasn’t been one of our better performers. It’s just boggling why he isn’t getting more time.

When you look at the players in our first 11 at least held will be gone in the next 2 years. I can forgive the inconsistency and over alaberate passing game if there is future planning.

Sarri could buy some time with just a little integration

Luis - gone in the next 18 months
Hazard - gone in the Summer
Kovacic - gone in the summer
Pedro - gone in 18 months
William - gone in 18 months
Huguine - gone in the summer

He's an ex banker , seems he's more interested in the huge payoff he will receive ,
just like Jose does it !

nice work if you can get it

Guys I know the owner of Napoli is a loon and I did not take too much notice and thought it was just bitterness, but what he was saying about Sarri during the summer, really now does seem to ring true, and that was Sarri has no plan B when things are going wrong during a game and he also used the word stubborn
So I really would not expect him to change at all.
He is 60 years old and since coming in to football, thats the way he does it.
Lets be honest I have never seen anything like Monday, when a team is 2-0 down and have Giroud and Odoi on the bench , a manager brings a right back on.
Tonights team against Malmo will tell you everything you need to know about what side will be playing on Sunday, my guess is Emerson in, Giroud up top , Cristensen, basically I am saying he will play the same side as Monday at Wembley and we will lose 3 maye 4-1.
Then it will be called Tuesday , he is sacked.
But the worst thing of all is he will have cost us Odoi, unless we can get a manager in who can turn Odoi back round from wanting to leave
I truly hope I am wrong and at Wembly the players make me look a complete prune and we win it.
I really would take that

I agree, that would get the fans back, but he's not gunna do it although that doesn't make him a spineless idiot.

I understand what he's saying when he says plan A needs to work before he'll explore plan B, plan C, etc... he's saying he needs the players to get to grips with his philosophy before he'll experiment with other ways of approaching it. It's dogmatically stubborn but also the complete opposite of spineless - changing to three at the back, going direct and starting CHO from now till the end of the season would be the easiest thing in the world to do right now (I'd have done it post-Bournemouth), but he's sticking by his principles knowing it may well get him sacked and at 60 y/o that's his manager career finished. It may be stupid, but it takes balls.

Just imagining for a second he does survive this season, we continue investing in players he wants + shift those that aren't compatible with this football (e.g. Alonso, Barkley, Willian, etc...), and we have a team that's gotten to grips with the Jorginho orchestrated 4-3-3, that's the point I'm betting we'll see an more adaptive side of Sarri. He did switch from his Empoli 4-3-1-2 to the 4-3-3 Napoli played on the recommendation of his own players, that's surprisingly flexible for a manager who comes off as stubborn as he does, so it's in him to change.

Devil I appreciate your comments but lets look at it.
He bluntly refuses to drop players who are making mistake after mistake, Luis springs to mind here.
He is playing a left back in Alonso who is awaful in this system and will never fit it, but does not drop him for Emerson, he plays Willian or Pedro and lets be honest when did they last have a top top game.
And going back to Willian I would not bet on him letting him go.
I am not saying it is all he's fault and we do not have the payers to play the system but in that case, just make the tweaks and try to get us playing a bit better see out the season , may even win something.
But Monday really did it for me, ie right back on at 2-0 down.
He really has not helped himself

I don't disagree with you, my comment wasn't necessarily in Sarri's defense, more trying to put his prospective's argument across which do have some substance (doing my Devil's Advocate thing).

I think his inability to effect change in a game is horrific, there's managers who struggle with it (e.g. Conte) but Sarri takes it too another level. I think his reluctance to try a 4231 defensive shape to help mask Jorginho's poor defensive game is foolish. His reluctance to prioritize Emerson over Alonso at this point is beyond stubborn. I think people are going OTT with Hudson-Odoi, with all this guaranteed future of Chelsea bo!!ocks, but he definitely should've gotten more playing time than he has done.

Things about Sarri do frustrate me.

I agree surprisingly

We want him to CHANGE something so if he at least changes and puts some youngsters in then fans won't be so hard on him

No manager seems to understand how much Chelsea fans love to see academy boys to graduate to first team.
