Hi fellow reds.My first article on here so don't be too harsh with me!Whilst I am not one to be too concerned with opposition players I do feel that Mackail-Smith could be a real threat tonight-assuming he plays of course.
I know that I probably live too much in the past but there was a time when our club would take a chance on a lower league player ie.Ian Rush and Kevin Keegan and would prove to be good business.
While I've only watched Mackail-Smith on TV playing for Peterborough,he has always struck me as someone with pace, stamina and above all a natural goalscorer.
My point is,did we miss a trick in not taking a chance on him when he was available?
I think with Suarez and Stevie-when fit again-supplying him he could have been very effective.

He is a very good striker but Premiership standard? Maybe not yet

My Dad's a season ticket holder at Brighton and says that CMS just has that knack of being in the right place at the right time plus runs his nuts off - kind of reminds me of Kuyt but just scores more

He's a threat and with Agger/Skrtel out Coates might get a real test.

Not a problem Scouse-heart! We only scraped past Brighton at their place in a preseason due to a keeper error but I don't think he'll be playing tonight. Ashley Barnes is another to look out for on the wing. He's been in decent form and scored a few as well so far this season.
All in all it should be a good game with both teams wanting to prove a point after losing at the weekend - enjoy it!

Being a Southern boy, I am a big fan of Lambert, a Liverpool fan he is too I think.
I used to really like Liam Feeney at Bournemouth games but he's moved on somewhere now, good player!
