Pep and Persistent fouling

Lots of positives and negatives to talk about from yesterday.

However,City got away with a lot of persistent and tactical fouls when we broke on counter. 22 to 7 overall.

I wish the ref had carded one of their players earlier in the match to protect Haza and Kante on the break.

Anyone great performance, more than matched best team in Europe in second half, and possibly shaded it

I saw Chelsea made 3 fouls on KDB in one run leading to a free kick. Only one yellow was given. You got plenty from the ref.

I think the ref was mostly okay. I do think he could have taken a tougher stance on it, but certainly not a big talking point.

The only thing that frustrated me was how much Zinchenko got away with. He didn't make any bad challenges, but he must have given away 6 fouls and still wasn't booked.

Fernandinho gets away with it every game. Every time a team break against them he takes the player out then smiles at the ref and that’s the end of it. In the champions league game against us last season he committed 7 fouls in a row and got no card.

Sharticle - Chelsea invented the tacticle foul under Mourinho and yesterday wasn't any different.

Jorginho should have been sent off in the first minute and Rodiger should have got a second yellow when he dropped Sane late on.

I'm surprised more was not made out of the Zinchenko incident with Kante when he was the last man.

There was also the bizarre kick off when Jorginho did something to Aguero 2 seconds in.

Both teams did tactical fouling to be fair, we stopped a few of their counters with fouls, i.e. Rudiger and Jorginho.

Linesman was a problem when Hazard was in goal and he should have waited for the attack to finish and then raise his flag.

Help me here i´m not sure what language is being used, it looks like a form of English but in a form i´ve never encountered before.

Sorry, my bad.

The linesman made a mistake when Hazard was through on goal but he raised his flag too early. Instead he should have waited for the attack to finish and then raised his flag as it looked a tight call.

For example, Kane vs us in the semis where he got the penalty.

TJ is right, exactly as I saw it .

As for Fernandinho,he seems to get away with it most games I've seen him play !,but he's certainly not the only one.

Kante block was down other end from me. Was it a foul?

Jorginho elbow in the first minute was a straight red. That would have stopped it from both sides but ref bottled it as it was so early.
