Odd comment by Poch and not sure what he hopes to achieve by saying it.

If it is a way of relieving the pressure from the players then I would say that he is a week too late as after the Burnley they aint gonna win the title.

If he actually believes what he is saying then I don't understand why he would want to remain at the club. As he has already said that cups don't matter is he resigning himself (and Spurs) to no trophies whatsoever for a decade? His career will suffer if that is the case as what large club would want a Manager who after 10-20 years in management has not won a single trophy.

All very weird.

They would need to sign players to win the league, don't think that'll happen.

Pochettino's pretty much the Spurs fans I'd be in there situation right now. It's one thing to support your team when they're decent but never good enough to win the league. There's a silent contentment to it, you appreciate the little things, but the frustration of being clearly good enough to win the league and your team can't even win a cup competition/not even reach a final, would be infuriating to me. Would be like replaying the 98/99 season over and over again, I'd go insane

Much as I think Pochettino's a top manager, I've thought for a few years if Spurs were managed by a serial winner, a Ferguson or Mourinho in their primes, they'd have won the league and a few cups by now.

Makes you wonder why Spurs bother trying so hard to get into the CL. If they need ten years to win the PL then they'll need more than that to win the CL. They might as well vacate their CL spot to a side with some actual belief that they might be able to win it.
