Poch - You are worrying me now!

Quote from Poch: "It’s never easy to be positive after a defeat, but we need to move on quickly and be ready to compete on Saturday."
NO!!! - We have been "competitive" for the last four seasons. And won nothing.
Change your mindset and maybe the players. We have to be ready to BEAT Arsenal on Saturday. It's that simple and nothing else will do after the last two pitiful performances.
I am not calling for him to be replaced, and I realise this could be a language issue for a man whose mother tongue is not English.
But it is becoming more black and white with each match that our Mentality needs an overhaul, which starts at the top. Leaders set the tone!

Managers words are always analysed far more after defeat.

I agree that mentality and a positive mind set should start at the top.

However Poch has got Spurs punching above what they would be if anyone else was in charge.

Spurs fans like Sandy calling for Poch's head should be-careful what he wishes for because there really isn't many top managers out there that can do the job that Poch has or are willing to with the budget that he has been restrained to.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Best thing to happen in decades is a bit much, that would assume he's been quite successful, very good manager though all the same, just needs backing by the board in a similar way the team's he's competing with are

Memory fading?

Which other manager in the premiership era has led Spurs to 3rd, 2nd and 3rd in the league, amassing more points than any other side, bar City?

That is by definition a success to a side that used ending up the season outside of top 4 regularly?

Do you want to win Camper Van trophy and finish 6th?
Is that success?

My concern is are the players responding to Poch?

Yesterday was not the performance of a group of players who cared about how badly they'd let their manager down at Burnley. Win, lose or draw I thought we would at least see some spirit at Chelsea.

When I picked my lad up from school today myself and the other Spurs dads had our Thursday autopsy on all things Tottenham and it was interesting how much Kanes immediate reintroduction is getting up peoples ratholes. There is a feeling that it might not of been pretty but we were winning without him and as was shown with that ridiculous sub appearance at Tranmere he seems to play when he wants to rather than when he should.

Harry seems to be frustrated about something, maybe his injuries or Spurs FC in general? Not too sure if Harry is a leader? Perhaps he needs a change, either to Spain or Italy if anyone wants him?

OP. Good article mate. Poch in my opinion is finished now, his project is done. It aint going to get any better now, only worse. Time for Spurs to start scouting for a new manager.

A lot of our supporters are living in a dream world if they think things are going to improve under Poch, they ain't.

Sandy, is hitting a new low.

He's the biggest knee jerking omelette this forum has ever known. In a matter of weeks he has gone from believing that spurs are in a one horse race for the title, to wanting the manager sacked.

It's quite pathetic really. The blame, if any is to be apportioned, lies squarely with the owner who invested nothing in the team. In the circumstances Poch is doing a good job.

The competition is fierce in this league. Poch has had his hands tied behind his back whilst others splash the cash.

I think this is a very good point, which isn't really being given much attention. This is what Messi does at Barcelona - he tells the manager when he plays, rather than the normal way round.

Difference is, Messi is the greatest player ever and scores/assists about 2 goals every game. Kane ain't there yet, but he seems to think he is. It's admirable in a way - his self-belief is a bit part of why he's been so good - but he's too impatient and needs to learn that sometimes an extra week's rest is of long-term benefit compared to the short-term benefit of maybe getting another goal.

Pochettino isn't blameless, of course. He should be tougher on Kane if the player is no longer accountable to the management.
