Good news for Vardy fans, the Telegraph reporting tonight that Brendan Rodgers has held talks with JV and given positive signs about how important Jamie is to his plans.
"Brendan Rodgers tells Jamie Vardy he will build Leicester around him."
Vardy has still scored nine goals this season but Rodgers believes he can help him return to the form which helped Leicester win the Premier League title in 2016.
He said: “I’m so glad he’s here and he will absolutely be central for me. When the ball comes in he’s a natural finisher and he has been since he was a young boy, so I’m looking forward to that and seeing him develop.
“I think if you look at his legs, and this is where observation is very important for a manager, he’s still super-fast, he’s dynamic, he’s quick, he’s fit, so he’s still in really good shape. “He’s got a really good figure, his body weight is good, he looks after himself and I think he will really enjoy this way of working.
“It was something I spoke to him about at length on Friday morning before training, where we could get him into areas and how we were going to play against teams that just sit deep because they don’t want to exploit the spaces.
“Will he become a better centre-forward under me? I hope so, yes. I will certainly give him other ideas and just simplify the game.".
Makes sense for Rodgers to get Vardy on side striaght away, lets hope we see an improvement in quality chances for Vardy to take but also that JV responds in kind and gets that edge back.
Liking everything coming out of the Club at the moment, there's even a side benefit from Puel's poor reign, plenty of tickets available for Fulham next week still, guess that'll stop if Brendan can create some form of success.

Promising. Really looking forwards to seeing Brendan's team and tactics tomorrow. Really tricky first game though.

Makes sense to build your team around your best player. However reading between the lines this still suggests Rodgers is going to ask Vardy to play in a different way.
Let’s see if he can make it work. Hopefully it will be a style of play that sees him touch the ball more than once every 3 games.

Definitely getting the vibes that Rogers
Knows what to say to players and press
This is the first manager we've had that has
Managed better players and their egos,
I'm talking Liverpool not celtic 🤦🏻♀️

Of course he did TB i would like he said Morgan and Simpson can get themselves a new contract.
Rodgers needs to get the best out of vardy who's missing his chances and his first touch on Tuesday was pants.
If Vardy excepts he has to become more of a fox in the box as well as waitng for the Vardy through ball then that great all round.
The challenge will be to integrate the additional strikers we need to sign.
I am excited about the new manager but i don't take everything at face value as i did not NP CR CS and CP

He is a great coach but don't expect wonders in the transfer market. He is shocking at spending money

As I said Nev, one for the Vardy fans, not for you.
