Are We Going To See More Of AOC & Coquelin?

Judging by Arsene Wenger's quote: http://goo.gl/VTVMS, I would say we will definitely be seeing more of both players this season. Hopefully, starting at the weekend.

Yeah in the cup competitions most likely.

I'd love to see more of the Ox, but I think he'll be gradually introduced.

Unless we get loads of injuries! Roll on the injuries!!

Worth baring in mind anytime Coquelin has played in a game of any magnitude for Arsenal (granted that's not many) he's looked out of his depth!

He's young and has time on his side for sure, but I'd most certainly put Frimpong ahead of him and I think the jury is still out on him at this early stage.

As for the Ox, he's a different animal. Way too early to say he's going to go on to be a superstar, but his assets are there for all to see and provided he develops at a good rate, it's quite viable that he'll get a shot at the first team.

Coquelin is fantastic, don't know what Moistthighs is on about. I would have had him ahead of frimpong even at the start of the season.

Problem was he played no pre-season with us because of u-20 whereas frimpong did.Wouldn't surprise me if frimpong goes on loan and coquelin stays as song's backup.

What games are you talking about? I only remember 3 matches he played in, away vs Stoke in the FA Cup in which he was pretty poor (played at right back though), United at OT in which he was decent (we collapsed when he was taken off for AOC), and his cameo against Swansea where he didn't even have time to make an impact.

I might be wrong, they are the only games I remember him playing in for Arsenal. I do know that he played very well last season in France and since then I have been a fan of him. I know France is different to the PL but if you can do a job on Hazard then you can do a job on almost anybody in England. I preferred him to Frimpong who IMO has been found out a bit since his great debut vs Liverpool.

The Stoke game (where you rightly point out) he played at right back, at Old Trafford (I thought he was very poor, along with the whole team, but thought he looked like a fish out of water) and the handful of CC games...

I've nothing against the lad. I hope he goes on to great things, I'm just not sold. Of course, he's not had a run of games, so I'm not hammering the boy!

As for Frimpong, he could go either way in my humble opinion. I think he has fantastic raw elements for a young kid. But his raw edge means his distribution is often erratic, he's not the most intelligent player either by all accounts, but it's a learning process for him now.

The reason I rate him more so than Coquelin is I think he has a big edge physically, something the midfield can benefit from.

Just my opinion.
