Do we all of a sudden have depth in the squad?
It wasn’t long ago everyone was in agreement that Olé had found a solid first XI but we were struggling beyond that. Now all of a sudden most of those players are gone but the same players that were written off have stepped up.
I’m not saying we’re anywhere near the complete squad, but I think we’re a damn side closer than we first thought when Olé first started to turn things around.
I think we’d be looking pretty good squad wise now if we woke up tomorrow and had a normal amount of injuries

You might go further if you refs keep awarding you fantom Penos

I pray this happens, id especially love it if we win the CL final with a penalty kick from VAR in the 92nd minute

I imagine an upgrade on Young, Matic and Lingard would make this team a whole lot better but I do understand OP
If anyone told me we could rely on Mctominay, Perriera and Fred for 4-5 games straight, I would have scoffed. The confidence we can have now in putting them in has given us the depth.
By the way, this is why Jose moaning disgusted me so much. Even if they are not the best 22 ever, they are good players who can be MADE BETTER and contribute. He just whined and whined without trying to improve the players.

No, we just have a motivated squad who are willing to dig deep to get results.
We beat PSG yesterday, it was quite remarkable. But let's not kid ourselves, when they bothered to up the pace we struggled. I feel as though they went in with the mentality of a side already qualified.

*Phantom.
The type of phantom goal that helped you win a CL title?
The type of phantom dive/ offside that is keeping you in the title race?

I don’t want to downplay this feel good factor or mammoth victory against all odds. But I do think that unbelievable team spirit has also helped us achieve this ‘undefeatable’ mentality now.
In saying that, I still think we aren’t as strong as we’d like to be as a squad.
Last night’s performance was filled with desire, luck, tactical nous and game management. But it did also expose some of our known weaknesses. Which is why we need to keep this momentum up to progress as far as we can.

We have depth but not at the quality as a team of what we want to achieve. We also need players to come in and improve the first 11.

Amazing the effect confidence has on people in general. Players who have been written off have come good, Scott McTominay is a great example of a player completely derided by our supporters, and is starting to put in MOTM performances. Matic has improved since Ole took the wheel, Martial, Rashford, all improved. Dalot is looking like a real player, so whereas we thought we had no depth, lads are stepping up to become real players instead of liabilities. This also encourages the kids to play above what is expected of them. Do we still need 3-4 players? I say yes, but at the same time, lets continue to give our own players a real chance to succeed. Fred finally showed up last night, how about that for depth?

I tho k it's the opposite. First 11 isn't particularly strong BUT we have good depth.
