Anybody interested will have played Angry birds in some way, but probably not VR, So I thought I would do a quick review of how it shapes up.
Downloaded it yesterday and have already worked my way through all the levels, but will need to go back to try and ace them all, so not done with it just yet.
It is very much the same game, this time in 3d, which does offer some unique advantages, using the Move controllers, you control a catapult which you physically do the motions using the controllers to operate, it works well enough, and is pretty intuitive. but can't say it adds much to the gameplay.
One thing it does allow however is for you to line your shot up to target different pillars, Your initial shot may be straight on at a pillar, leaning to the side, you can target the pillar behind it, or line up a shot that lines up pillars in a row to take out multiple support structures (with the right bird)
You can also move to different vantage points, giving access to shots that wouldn't be open to you before, but they were generally higher altitude, which actually made targeting more difficult (at least for me)
So is Angry Birds in VR a game changer, In all honesty not really, it's still just Angry Birds, and there is nothing that makes it stand out in VR. Stick to playing it on your phone, there are games that make much better use of VR.
