“In the interview Rose has just done (it's about racism and much more serious but he says a bit about the new ground):

“It was a bit flat towards the end, playing at Wembley. You can’t hold anything against the fans for that. It was a lot of traveling and it’s not home. So on behalf of the players and the staff, I’d like to thank the fans for the year-and-a-half that they’ve made that journey. They’ve been great and in that first game (at the new stadium) they really made it feel like home.

“It was a bit surreal at the beginning when we were doing the warm-up. There was a moment when the crowd were singing Dele’s name and we were saying after the game how loud it was. It was just an amazing night.”

So millionaire footballer Danny Rose says he’s sick of football and can’t wait to see the back of it.

Well Danny, why not walk away and actually stand by your words? But he won’t do it because one thing trumps his moral high ground and that’s more money! As abhorrent and not needed as racism is, it’s not even one percent of what the black players of the 80’s had to contend with and they stuck it out.

I have full sympathy with any player that gets racially abused, and that includes Danny Rose. Racism in any form is shockingly sub human. However Danny Rose is basically saying he will retire at 34/35 which is the time 90 per cent of footballers pack it in, so nothing new really. He does come across as a bit of a grumpy so and so.

It's the tottenham fans fault again, Rose knows he'll have to look after these animals when they get tired of them, his patience is exhausted, I can't blame him
