2 choices:
Get knocked out by Napoli but guaranteed wins 3, 1draw and 1 loss from our 5 away games.
Guareenteed 1 loss and 1 draw in our next 2 away games but convincingly knock out Napoli. Still have the chance to get 3 away wins but not guareenteed.
Hmm option 1 for me. Think that will be enough for 4th. But maybe only 4th, have to hope United and Chelsea don't go mental in Europe
Preference?

Knocking Napoli out would mean we only had 3 games standing between us and CL qualification. One at the Emirates, one in Spain, and one in Azerbaijan.
A much better prospect, imo, than throwing the dice 5 separate times and hoping to score at least 3 goals in each of our 5 remaining league away games.

What if Arsenal won the EL and finished third..would the fifth team qualify? Plus City or Liverpool won the CL? would 6 teams qualify?

5th (or 6th) place doesn't get CL unless they win the EL or CL. Only a maximum of 5 teams can be in it. So if Utd and Chelsea finished 5th and 6th and both won their Euro comps then the 4th place team would miss out.

Err the point is you have the option of guarenteed points on the table if Napoli knock us out. But not the same if we beat Napoli.

I'm probably in the minority but Europa games are now just a distraction. I reckon we'll beat Napoli but it's Villareal or Valencia who we'll struggle against.
We need a fully fit squad for all the away games coming up. They're not particularly tough games but with our fragile squad and poor away form we need everyone fit.

The option of guaranteed points would still leave us with a deficit of at least 4 points in the end. And there's no way of telling whether this would be enough.
I'd rather have our destiny in our own hands by nabbing a place in the EL semis.

None. Rather see us get 3rd and win EL.

Option 2. If we are to qualify for the CL this season then the Europa is our last chance of European success for what will hopefully be a long period back in the CL.
