Agree with that Aggers, especially about an alonso type player.

Yeah me too, we really, no desperately need to get our league campaign back on track against Wolves after two successive losses - I'm hoping Gerrard starts over Adam

Why we are conceding these penalties. In the previous round against Exeter, the ref gave them a soft penalty. At Stoke, Walters dived but won the penalty. Now Vicente went for it and got the penalty.

why penalties Vs us?? Becasue our defenders are slow.

Anyone else hoping that Coates will be a regular by January maybe - Carragher needs to be taken out of the first 11, pronto

Carra played well, but I struggle to understand why he didn't stay on his feet after Spearing's slip up. That's another error which has resulted in a goal against us and at the moment he looks likely to drop at least one ballack in every game. However, with Agger out I think he should start against Wolves on saturday.

Bellamy was a big plus as was seeing Gerrard back on the pitch. We played some good stuff in the first half, but were again found wanting in our pressing in the second half, the team just backed off and we failed to close the Brighton players down as a cohesive unit.

I thought suarez looked jaded in the second half, he's played a hell of a lot of football recently and didn't have much of a summer break.and I thought Kenny might have put him on the bench.

Bellamy deserves to start against Wolves after his performance

Carroll didnt even get a look in for this game, with Suarez looking a little jaded, do you think we could see Kuyt and Bellamy upfront this Saturday?

I hope he starts with Luis and all being well he could come off early in the second half.

Not having european football will help him, but I did think tonight was the perfect opporunity to give him a break.
