And we guarantee European football next season
This weekend results mean Wolves and Leicester cannot catch us, so top 6 would be secure if we dont lose to the Hornets.
What a day to be alive
Avoid defeat on Monday...

According to dopey DJ logic, spurs getting 86 points in 16/17 means they are better than Uniteds treble winning team and several other champions. Position doesn't matter in his world of delusion, just points.
Digging yourself a hole here, looking utterly clueless

You what? It is you and your mate judging things on seasons a long time ago
I am judging on improvement, clear improvement, from last season to this.
Fack me, Godfather, you are either the thickest caaant walking the planet or a Spurs fan. I pray, for your sake, it is the former.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What clear improvement? We are same position this time last year and in same stage of europa. In Wengers worst ever season. Only difference as you mentioned is points. Points are a useless barometer when you compare one season against another, completely different teams and eras only a clown clutching at straws like you would do this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the fact we are fighting for 3rd with games in hand is the same as last season when we were fighting with Burnley for 6th?
As I asked your mate, what exactly did you think would be the situation this season? Strolling to the league title?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why not? Wenger did it when he first joined us. So did Conte for Chelsea. You all told me any manager would do far better than Wenger.

Chelsea went from 10th to 1st. If Wenger was so useless then surely even a bang average manager would finish top four at a minimum. A great one would definitely win the league.
Or was Wenger not actually that bad, even in his most diabolical year, league finish wise.
Make your mind up

Wenger did it in very different times - and he had from September the season before.
Conte had a squad that won the title two seasons before and a squad of top class players that just gave up playing for Mourinho. Very different scenario.
They also didn't have City racking up 100 point seasons
What an absolutely bereft of reality caaant you are.

Funny how it is wrong to compare points from one season to the next, but more than acceptable to compare situations from over 20 years ago to today

It is a shame when someone claims to be a fan of Arsenal, yet has such a poisonous agenda he loses sight of reality.
I think it is time to expunge the Godfather from my JA experience.

What we are seeing this season is the "New Manager" effect - players attitudes have definitely improved, and we see a lot more fight in games. Lets see what Emery does about players like Chambers, Jenkinson, Mustafi, Zhaka, Elneny, Wellbeck - lets see if he buys well in the summer - lets see if he improves our defence - lets see if he gives the young talent a chance.
He has told us Ozil is important - then leaves him out of important games for "tactical" reasons - he signs Suarez - and doesn't play him. Emery is a top manager - but he has done no more than was expected. This summer he gets to put has mark on the squad by signing quality players - or not.

Yes, next season will see different expectations. We definitely cannot stand still, and Emery will have to improve the squad again.
The good signs are Leno, Torreira, Sokratis and Guendouzi have all looked good buys.
Suarez is a hard one to call. Has he been brought in to acclimatise? He may be earmarked to take over from Ramsey? It must be noted that he was signed when Ozil and Ramsey were both out of the first XI, but both have impressed since then, meaning chances for Suarez have diminished.
But, lets be honest. It isn't Emerys job to get players out of the door, and one of the most important things for us to do ASAP is find that director of football.

Hopefully losing Mislintat won't be noticeable in the summer. Big job for those involved to get the right players in and move on those we don't need.

Very confused by some of the comments in this thread. Anyone can see that Arsenal has improved so are these two dude being intentionally... what's the word I'm looking for...? Ignorant? Obtuse? Argumentative?

It is just Godfathers thing. He has decided to be a staunch Wenger defender, and reason is not part of the act.
