I hope

CHO's play yesterday was not down to him but the manager. He never took on liverpool players even when there were one on one situations, just kept on trying to cross to short players in the middle, Hazard and willian who seems to have given up on football. No drive no strength no willingness to not be beaten.

I am truly worried for my club. I hope this is one of those bad years which we can recover from and not go the route of the Milan teams.

If we stick with sarri I hope for more dynamism from him next season because even a baby can write our away match script. Play nice football for sometime, the home team decides to up the ante and boom we fall apart.

I hope he can see he cant depend on Alonso, willian , to an extent pedro. We cant surely start with them next season. He must see jorginho needs a tweak to the formation or a whole new formation to be worth his place in the team.

Not being negative just a little worried as we seem to have this mentality we cant compete with any of the top 10 away from home, hell Cardiff almost beat us too.

On a positive not hazard was a class above everyone on the field when he was allowed to play but then he eventually gave up as no one else from Chelsea could keep up.

Hopefully we win Europa league and or claim 4th. I still think we can get 4th

Not concerned by that performance in the slightest. That game was a clear cut example of one team still adapting to a specific way of playing, and another who have weaknesses (collective and individual) but know exactly what their game is all about. We played OK, they're just ahead of us in their own evolution.

In terms of synchronicity of passing, movement, tempo and transition, they were an demonstration of what can happen if you persist through the growing pains of a tactically dogmatic manager. No-one else play like Klopp's Liverpool and it's beautiful to watch. We could very well have just as strong a playing identity if we stick by Sarri, that's the goal/the entire reason for his appointment.

taken 3 1/2 seasons to get to this point, think itll take any manager atleast season to get the ball rolling for you

Next season, if yet another new manager and no Hazard, could be stressful for Chelsea faithful.

Yesterday's big difference, in addition to team talent, was that that Liverpool played to win and Chelsea played not to lose!

Oh ffs...............

He is an 18 year old kid, not feckin Ronaldo or Messi.

Do you think he is just going to walk into the Chelsea first team and start destroying all the teams he plays agst...........

The manager should be feckin lauded for giving him a taste so young of playing in a massive game agst Liverpool at Anfield.

What an experience for the young lad, what a feckin fantastic platform for him to build on in coming seasons.

He had a poor game yesterday no doubt.

However, in retrospect would I still have wanted him to start - absolutely yes.

For one, there was not a bone in my body that tells me that anyone apart from Hazard would have performed any better.

And secondly he will have learned an awful lot from yesterday and that experience will be invaluable to him. For the first time in his career he will now what it's like to face opposition of that calibre.

If there was an ounce of cockiness and arrogance about him (which I don't think is the case as he comes across as a very grounded young lad), that will have bought him back to earth and made him realise what he needs to do if he wishes to achieve his ambition to become a top class footballer.

If anything I applaud Sarri for have the bottle to include him in the starting eleven of such a high profile and intense fixture - well done Maurrizio!

Biggish and Brummie

The experience that Cho will have gained from that game is invaluable in his development and progression. You don't learn from just the good times and wins, in fact you probably learn more in defeat and in very difficult matches than at any other time.

If we had a top class form striker up front we'd have had a much better chance at Anfield. Cho would have been able to provide from the wings as he does so well. Sadly we don't have one this season and that must be rectified asap.

Seriously? He's not.

But 99% of Chelsea fans seem to think he is? I'm confused

A bit of a condescending comment.

I'm presumably one of those people that you seem to believe think he's Messi or Ronaldo.

And yes I do think of him very highly - highly as a very promising youngster with a lot of potential.

And yes I do want to see him get as much time as possible on the field, not because he's from the academy but because I actually think at this moment in time he really is better than Messi or Ronaldo..............................

Sorry I meant Willian and Pedro!

That's what I was shooting for

I don't think you're one of those fans, but the way some talk about him (not 99%, that was tongue in cheek) they either believe he is the next Messi or they're scared he's the next Salah - probably the latter truth be told.
