of the season is upon us. Poch says the team is stressed and worn out, not sure what to make of that. Anyway cannot really decide what is the most important match, Ajax or Bournemouth?
The norm for any supporter of any club, would be a CL semi-final match, but with CL for next season in serious danger of not happening with the alarming dip of Prem form since January, I think I am making the Bournemouth game the most important match of the week.
The team yesterday looked to to be running on empty, so not quite sure how they are going to get over the line in these important matches, the injuries to some of our most important players are putting paid to what could have been a glorious end to the season. Just don't see how we are going to get past Ajax with key players either injured, burnt out or completely off form like Dele is.
Beating Bournemouth surely has to be an absolute priority next weekend, anything other than a win, and I reckon the chances of CL will be absolutely 50/50 only, possibly even less. We cannot keep relying on other teams slipping up, sooner or later, two of the three teams in compeition with Spurs, will get a result.
As tired as the team is, there surely has to be one last push, but I am sure they were trying yesterday, despite the poor display, just nothing left in the tank. the question is forgetting Ajax, who will be fit to play until they drop at Bournemouth next weekend. I never thought I would pray to have Mo Sissoko fit for that game.
Spurs were 1/33 before yesterday`s game to qualify for a top four spot, now down to 1/10, I suspect after today`s games could be as low as 1/2, and maybe Even money if they get nothing from Bournemouth.
So what's it to be fellas elation or huge disappointment, the next seven days will tell us one way or the other. COYS.
Right, the most important week

A case of one game at a time and pray we get through them.

Look I know we have injuries and players are tired etc etc but I can’t see why the squad can’t really push themselves for the final few games, there’s no World Cup or Euros in the summer, and this is history for the club we are talking about, if we managed to win the thing they would be legends for ever, and I’m sure they will get massive bonuses too
Probably the best chance we will get in many a year this, what with most of the big boys being poor this year and they will be investing massively next few years
I’m sure Poch is telling the ones who are fit to play.....just give it your all next few games

I am absolutely amazed we have got so far as we have, well done Pochettino but fear we may get a beating or 2 before the season ends

Not that we should but if we had to prioritise one over the other then the Ajax game is more important. I reckon Poch and the players might see it that way too. They'll be thinking it's a good chance of winning a major trophy.

My biggest concern is the form of our bigger players who are fit to play. Dele for example. His performance yesterday was embarrassing. He is not showing the kind of form that made him one of our best players. If anyhting, we are carrying him in the hope that he produces a moment of magic. Son seems 6o have had a dip in form too. Eriksen still not right IMO and should also be stripped of free kick duty.
Our defence is nothingike it once was.
To have lost 12 games this season in the league is embarrassing. It's totally unacceptable. I think Poch had to take some of the blame too. He was out done yesterday.

I am sure Dele would have been dropped had we had any fit replacements, but we haven`t. I also noticed how slow Toby has become now. He was skinned one or twice yesterday, clearly showing signs of regression. Dier as well, he just plods along, no tackling like he used to do.

Without our main players and other players hitting form Spurs would have no chance of beating either Liverpool or Barca if they somehow overcame Ajax. A miracle needs to occur for Spurs to lift the CL.

They're not all still going to be unavailable at a final stage though are they? We'd have Son back. Sissoko and Kane...would one of them be fit by then?
Even so, over one game we'd always have a chance. It's not like after missing a few players we become a League Two team.
Surprised at your lack of faith again Sandy considering the things you've expected of this team this season.

Chelsea are a trophy winning club though where as Spurs are not in recent times. Chelsea get all the luck, Spurs barely get any luck. Chances of us pulling off a Chelsea CL win is very slim. We are already doing our damn best messing it up in the league when we could of pretty much secured our top 4 place yesterday

Bottom line is, your squad lacks real quality in depth.
This becomes more evident when it comes to the business end of the season.
Lack of investment on the pitch undermines any ambition to win major honours.
Good luck.
