Thoroughly dominant performance and a chance to pull out some of the high-value paddles in the ratings:
Schmeichel: 7 - Far more of spectator than he would have been expecting. Just about dealt with the crosses and then bagged a random assist.
Ricardo: 9 - More solid today defensively, although not perfect. Delightful in attack and collected a great assist at the end.
Evans: 8 - Still his reading of the game stands out, most notably a particularly dangerous situation in the second half when Maguire was nutmegged. Knows when to drop and cover.
Maguire: 7 - Did little wrong, joining in possession going forward.
Chilwell: 7 - Provided good width in the first half as Maddison drifted inside; needs to be a bit more careful in situations like the second half however, faced with an opponent trying to get him sent off.
Ndidi: 7 - Got through a lot of tackles as usual, although another who was a potential target for his opponents to get sent off. It'll be interesting to see whether Rodgers can work with him in possession in the close season.
Albrighton: 7 - Full of effort and occasionally played a very good pass, although there were also a lot of misplaced passes and mistakes in the mix as well. Classic Albrighton in many ways.
Tielemans: 9 - A shame that he had to put on a fine performance in front of the cameras but hopefully everyone was talking about Arsenal. His weight of pass is outstanding. My choice for our MOTM. But don't listen to me. Nothing to see here really.
Choudhury: 8 - I think there's still work to do with him in possession, but his performances as a tackler this season against big players have been great. Really good at not just winning the ball but dumping his opponent in a heap in the process. Could be a real wildcard next week and has provided an interesting selection dilemma.
Maddison: 8 - Given the licence to wander inside and find pockets of space, and looked like he was really enjoying the game today alongside Tielemans. Played well and got a great assist.
Vardy: 8 - His movement was great all match, although his touch let him down for much of it. Still recovered to score two goals. As you do.
Barnes: 7 - Lively and rightly keen to run at a makeshift right back. Missed a sitter late on though, despite having done the hard work.
Mendy: n/a - Kept things simple; didn't feature much.
Gray: n/a.
I believe Arsenal's gameplay was based on a video of our performance against Newcastle the other week: Keep things tight, target Ndidi on the ball, hit us with pace on the counter. The problem for them was that the players didn't look comfortable buying into this and left no end of gaps, most of which were exploited by Tielemans. Certainly it's true even just from what we've seen this season that Arsenal are a completely different proposition at home as compared to away.

Those comments look very "on message" to me. Any agent will be telling him: Confirm or deny nothing. That way we can get the best deal possible and rinse any Director of Football who might be prone to rash actions of panic.
Fortunately, ours would never fall for such a thing.

I guess the message isn’t a resounding “get me to this club mr agent” which is what you want to see in interviews, but I accept you rarely do these days.
It does happen though.

It would be rather ironic if the paperwork was 14 seconds late again and this time we had to keep Silva.

Not really sure why everyone is so disgruntled with Danny Murphy's comments. I watched MOTD catch-up last night and thought he was spot on. Maddison made a real meal of the challenge and should be called out. Hate play acting in the modern game and we we shouldn't condone it just because it is a Leicester player.
I actually think Murphy, along with Jermaine Jenas, is one of the better pundits and generally talks a lot of sense.

FFS - I don't think it's just the weekend's incident that makes people dislike Murphy. I still remember when he repeatedly declared Mahrez to be too good for us and then got visibly upset when Lineker suggested in return that Coutinho might be too good for Liverpool.
Essentially, he's one of those snobby pundits who believes we should "know our place". Much like Graeme Souness or Gary Neville.

Tend to agree with dunge on the over view of Murphy
Ffs, as an insident I agree players should be called out,
What's this I see choudhury getting into trouble for social media comments he made in 2013 Ffs he was 15/16.
Its getting silly now with the history digging,,
Thank god we didn't have interweb when we were growing up,
We'd all be hanging from trees
Actually we probably were 😁

Basically Dunge nails it, although I would add that I think Murphy is an incredibly one dimensional pundit much like Chris Sutton -but I guess there is some subjectivity here as I don’t think Jenas adds much either, although he is improving.
On the specific incident with Maddison. I actually think it was a foul, although Maddison definitely over reacted. It was appropriate to call this out. My wider frustration was that Arsenal players were throwing themselves around all game, but this one incident ensured that the focus was on us and not them.

Dublin - So I understand it, an upset Arsenal fan went digging and found some of Choudhury's old tweets - i.e. from when he was a minor.
Nothing career-threatening but some stuff that the club would doubtless rather wasn't there and of course that the FA will decide to punish. Because, you know, perfect chance to make an example of someone.

I’m in agreement with this.
