Its highly likely that this has been raised as an article/suggestion previously, if so apologies, I haven't seen it.
In light of the amazing contribution and ultimately in view of the terrible price paid by the Srivaddhanaprabha family I would like to suggest we open up next season with the West Stand re-named the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Stand.
Obviously due to the vast majority of supporters, including myself being unable to pronounce Srivaddhanaprabha it will be affectionately known as the Vichai Stand.
I think this would honour the memory of our former Chairman and demonstrate the affection we held for him.
Thoughts anyone?

Not the Pearson Stand TB??

As good as he was what Claudio achieved is unlikely to be repeated, maybe a large statue placed in the Radio Commentary box just freak Stringer out every time he looked round.

It’s tricky with Ranieri. Yes he delivered our greatest achievement ever, but he was only here for just over a year.
The work towards that title victory had been delivered through years of careful planning and rebuilding of our club. Ranieri was the cherry on top of a very large cake.
As a result, it’s Vichai that deserves the real credit. He brought together and invested in our club behind a clear strategy. That strategy paid off with the greatest achievement we’ll ever see. He deserves the lions share of the credit. Pearson and Ranieri played key roles of course.
I would like to see some recognition of Ranieri at the club. I just think that it should be something else. And whilst we’re at it, I still want to see him return so the fans can show their appreciation to him. Now we have a strong manager in place who won’t be put out by this gesture, maybe it would be a good time.
Let’s remember though that the last game of the season should be renamed “The Shinji Okazaki Appreciation Match”. All fans have to run 4 miles to the stadium carrying Jamie Vardy whilst having a massive smile on their face.
What a guy.
Totally agree with Joby on Banks. I don’t think he associated himself really with Leicester. Stoke is where he should be honoured. Probably of most gifted goalkeeper, but Kasper will always be our greatest goalkeeper, hey Nev 😉

I thought the idea of naming the training ground after him was a great one, as that is representative of the foundations being laid for success - which was a big part of what Vichai did. I wouldn't be unhappy with the west stand being named after him instead though.
As for Banks, if there isn't a statue somewhere of him hauling Pele's header off the line then the footballing world's got something wrong.

It’s should be called “What a save”. Gordon Banks.

In previous discussions about statues there has always been a dilemma as the statue needs to be someone who all fans agree has made a big contribution to the club. It should also be someone who was or is a supporter or advocate for the club off the pitch.
Due to his contribution and the tragic circumstances around his demise, Vichai seems like a very uncontroversial choice. Even if he hasn't been a lifelong fan.
Certainly a better choice than Michael Jackson anyway.

A statue of Osama Bin Laden in a Leicester shirt would be less controversial than a Michael Jackson statue right now 😳

LMAO. The one manager who brought in raw talent, nurtured and provided some of the most entertaining sides over several years won’t even get a look in.
