Wesley Sneijder

Well, this guy had the choice of joining Utd but chose to stay.
At that time, (only 2 months ago), it seemed as though Utd needed him more than he needed Utd.
A few weeks later and look how the situation has changed at Inter. 2nd Manager on "gardening leave" and an awful start in the league.
How he must be watching his TV and thinking I should have joined Utd when I had the chance.

Come the winter transfer window, if Utd consider going in for him again, I donโ€™t think we should offer more than ยฃ20m, and 120K wages for this guy(he'd be European tied). He obviously needs us more than we need him, and if he says no, then itโ€™s no loss to us. He had his opportunity to join us and he blew it. A second chance should be on our terms.
That said, he would certainly add that extra bit to the squad which would help Utd.

SAF always said the Sneijder talk was nonsense

he had since said if he wanted to replace Scholes, Only Xavi and Iniesta would fit the bill

He'll still be picking up more money than he would if he came so i imagine he'll be more than happy, says everything about the man.

Nope.

Not the right fit.

Somoeone like De Rossi, Schweinstieger etc I wouldnt mind spunking 35 mil on. Because players like that are not pigeon holed in one position. They are high quality yet can do a bit of both.

If we wanted an attack minded player it should have been silva two years ago.

Agreed about Silva

I had wanted United to sign him 2 years before he went to City

Was gutted when he went to City

Arguably the best AM in the PL

What are your thoughts on Tunni Stretty? Paul Scholes talks veryhighly of him and there's an interesting article on United's website

I think he will break through sooner rather than later and before Morrison and Pogba

The only reason why Sneijder wouldve been needed, was for the latter stages of the CHampions League

If hes cup tied for that, what exctly is the point of buying him?

Our players are already good enough to win the league, they already have the experience of winning the league, it's jsut when we come up against teams like Barca or Real in the CL semis would Sneijder have been very useful.

But hey, I like the look of Anderson and Cleverly atm

Yeah I dont think there is a player better than him in his position in the PL. He was awsome last year, and the telepathic relationship he is forming with ageuro so quickly is proving to be devestating.

Also equally comfortable on the iwng or in the centre. Which is another plus point.

Dunno, really, dunno. Its so hard to judge players from their performances at reserve or even championship level. I think next year a loan to a pl club may be in order so test the waters somewhat.

At a club like utd if he gets his shot and doesnt perform he wont get many more so he needs to be ready straight away.

Its easy to get overly excited by reserve players and I think far too many get overly excited by what they see at reserve level. Each year there seems to be the next scholes or what have you in the reserves and it never comes to fruitation.

The likes of david Jones, gibson, bellion have all looked world beaters at reserve level. only to look absoulultey dire at a proper level.

So I withhold my judgement on him till I see him in a PL shirt tbh.
