The final game of the season as already relegated Bolton make the trip to the city ground to face Nottingham Forest in what could be the last fixture in the clubs history and the last bolton match thread on ja606. A year on since the same fixture between the same clubs which ended up in the great escape for bolton with late goals from david wheater and Aaron wilbraham which kept Bolton in the championship for another season. No repeat this year in a simply wretched season of poor gutless football and clueless management. The club is on the brink. Owner ken Anderson doesn't want to know. Can't/won't sell. Back in court on the 8th may when surely the judge will allow a winding up order after giving Anderson 2 adjournments to give him time to sell the club. The only hope seems to be will someone press the admin button before court and at least protect the club from immediate extinction. This of course will mean a 12 point deduction for next season added to whatever deduction the elf will dish out for not fulfilling the fixtures. The Brentford game not being played is a new low for the club. Anderson is to blame but the EFL and the pfa should have acted sooner to get that one on like they have for this fixture. Team news. Can find very little. What we know. The first team will play after agreeing to end their strike. Lowe, wheater, beavers, Williams were already ruled out for the season. Who cares who plays though at least we have a match tomorrow and avoided the shame of having to forfeit this one as well. Early set off for a 12.30 kick off.

Mike James is also a director of Football Ventures. I would be surprised if they didn't have a plan to obtain the club.
Mike was also mentioned as about to file for administration. If he and Football Ventures are successful, the Hotel would go with the stadium. In any event, it can hardly be separated as it's an integral part of the stadium. Maybe just different owners depending on who buys and what they want to keep.

We've been playing this game for a long time now haven't we? Been sold twice or is it 3 times as they've walked away or found out to be a complete loon.

Benny the piece in the Beano points to the possibility that Ken may have been a problem when talking to the consortium. Maybe he was asking for 30 million for himself and the new owners had to clear all the debts. If that was the case it was never going to happen.
We can only speculate.

I see the appointment of an administrator has already slipped to it could be Tuesday.
Can't wait for the players awards night and the start of the summer special thread I don't suppose we can start dreaming of Tom Eaves returning to partner Wilko up front just yet can we.

The bloke introducing them to BWFC seems to be stalking a good game. I guess it is hard to trust anyone’s word when you’ve all been let down so much of recent years.
