Summer Prediction

Its clear that United need a large overhaul in the summer. This might be a bit "panini stickers" but id go for a new; rightback, centre back, centre mid, winger and a striker. Lots to ask i know!! But my summer prediction is Woodward will waste another summer going in for an over the hill, overpriced and injury prone Bale, which will be just typical of everything thats wrong with our club right now. We dont need a sprinkle of magic dust but a root and branch review

Bale (when fit), would turn a lot of games like today into wins. That's what players of that ilk do.

Not like we didn't create chances, and these types of games are far too common for us. A world class goalscorer would be part of what we need imo.

bs, i could say the same about sanchez

silly to buy a player on the decline

I think the modern game is beyond relying on a single person to turn things around unless you have Ronaldo or Messi.

We'd be better off moulding a squad which makes lots of chances.

If the person we rely upon most is injured then we are facked again.

what we need is leaders on the pitch

more specifically players that are willing to take responsibility on the pitch. too many of our players are happy being the passenger rather than the driver

one thing is clear, Ed Woodward should have NO input at all into choosing targets.

the first thing I remember Ed doing was declaring to the world that we have barrell loads of cash and can buy whoever.

at that point i knew we had a mug in charge but i did not imagine it will be this bad 6 years on

Yup. Utterly stupid thing to do.

This was also the man that, unforgivably somehow managed to not envision what would happen after he gave Sanchez that utterly silly contract. How could he not foresee that it would lead to everyone asking for big pay rises? And even if he did, then he did it anyway, which is just as bad. Either way, the man is s fool.

People keep referring back to this as some sort of secret that had been guarded by a clandestine group.

We’re in the top 5 revenue producing sporting franchises in the world with public accounts. Do you think the footballing community reckoned we were broke so were willing to sell world level players for pennies on the pound?

Clearing out half the squad and bringing in the next batch of misfits won't do anything.

Glazers n Woodward have to go. Without Fergie bailing them out of the brown stuff they are totally clueless. Good at making money but haven't got a clue about football.

We won't get back to anything like the Fergie days until they go. 5th or 6th at best next year and it could be even worse

Yes we would, however goalscoring is a huge problem of ours. Our football isn't pretty but how often do we leave games saying rashford and Lukaku missed a sitter?
