Played a significant part in all of them.
To me (and I'm not asking nor expecting anyone to agree) Cahill leaves the club a legend. It is time to move on. But I'm really grateful to him.
Thank you Gary Cahill

Fantastic player. Never the most talented but the perfect JT transition and put his heart on the line for us. Perfect transfer for both involved. Chelsea and the player

You’re wrong whichever years you choose. He was never anywhere near world class (whatever that means). Solid club player - but let’s not rewrite history just because he’s leaving.

Not attempting to..great partnership with Terry that season. PFA team of the year, he did have an extremely good season that year.

I think one of the years, maybe the 13/14 he was arguably the best cb in the league. with kompany injured all year.

He was a decent defender, and at £7M he was a steal. But no, Nick - he was never even Chelsea's best defender, let alone best in the league.
Also, although I can understand that he is disappointed to have been sidelined for most of this season, I really hate it when players start to complain about their club/manager to the press
"Chelsea captain Gary Cahill has launched a stinging attack on Maurizio Sarri, saying he struggles to show any respect for the manager who has sidelined him at Stamford Bridge."
I'm afraid I lost some respect for Cahill after that. He could have kept his mouth shut for one extra week, and sailed happily off into the sunset.

Cb not defender * but he was up there and probably was. A lot of people seemed to pick at him for whatever reasons but he was a great cb. Name someone better that season at cb?
