Yeah doesn't make sense if there are 5 maximum slots available and you're only taking 4 teams in CL despite the success.

The chance of 4th missing out ended with United's result

4th would have missed out if Spurs won the CL and Chelsea/Arsenal won the Europa and both finished outside the top 4

For the gazillionth time 4th place will ONLY miss out if both the CL and Ropy are won by English teams who BOTH finish outside the top 4. So for this poster, just forget Liverpool who are not effected by anything.

The only scenario left now is if Arsenal win the Ropy and finish outside the top 4, if so they will get the 5th place in the CL, BUT the teams who finish in the top 4 in that situation STILL get CL places.
