Arsenal's only remaining hope of qualifying for the Champion's league now rest solely in winning the Europa League. Arsenal take a healthy 3 - 1 lead into the second leg of the tie, however whilst Arsenal have once again failed to get a result against Brighton who were relegation threaten, Valencia have just wiped the floor with Huesca by beating them 6 - 2. (Valencia were 0 - 6 up at half time). Arsenal have to travel to the Mestalla Stadium with an abysmal away form, knowing that a 2 - 0 defeat will knock Arsenal out of the Europa League .

I'm now worried about the return leg vs Valencia.
Ironically, if we had managed to get a CL spot via the league, then I think we could have won vs Valencia and even the final. But now there is an enormous pressure on the players and the coach to deliver the Europa. This is my own opinion but I think Emery delivers better when he's the underdog. As soon as pressure is on, he's too pragmatic

When the heat is on Emery doesn't strike me as the type of manager that will get us through.
His substitutions are just baffling. I am surprised no one has even addressed his 3 substitutions today's that killed our momentum

So who do you recommend should take over from Emery?

I am very worried.

This team is very capable of going out on Thursday. I fear for a lot of them if we do.

I’m not so concerned, Valencia will be fairly exposed pushing for goals, leaving space for us to nick one on the counter. If we play a sensible game and don’t get anyone sent off I don’t see Valencia scoring 3 or more

In theory, you're right but as I mentioned earlier, when the pressure is ON, Emery is too pragmatic and negative. I wouldn't be surprised if the players are instructed not to cross the half way line which will only invite pressure. Since we can't defend to save our lives, it could end up badly

I understand the concern but I don’t think Emery has ever instructed the team to play that way. I realise things aren’t necessarily going to go to plan but I’m choosing optimism
