I stand by my previous statement.

The nearest we got is Sissoko at the moment. Possibly Kane when playing, but neither at the leadership levels of the likes of Kompany, Henderson etc.

I used to love Ledley King. Quiet guy buy awesome reader of the game. No knees, but nothing got past him.

This says a lot about the team... Sissoko as captain 🥴
He doesn’t say a word when he plays and has had 8 weeks of good form. If Dier had developed as one would have hoped and expected, he would have been an ideal captain, combative and vocal in the middle of the park.

we have Winks and Kane who i would say are anything close to a leader and showing passion. both out for us and it has shown the lack of this since.


city and liverpool have plenty of players with these qualities and is justified with them being the top 2 in the league

posted the same on here before but been told in the modern game its not important, surely we can find some one better than the excuse for a captain we have in Lloris, its a joke when I look back at the leaders we have had at this club
