5 stars - Tottenham
3 stars - don't care, just happy to be there!
1 star - Ajax
Tottenham
Pros:
We know them well.
We've already beaten them twice this season.
They have had poor form this year.
They have an ability to mess things up (as do we).
Cons:
They'll be seeking revenge for the league defeats.
Kane may be back which could give them a boost, and he turns up in big games.
On their day they can beat anyone.
JA606 will be unbearable.
Ajax
Pros:
Inexperienced team who will not have played such a huge game.
They play in the relatively weak Dutch league.
Cons:
Had an amazing run and dumped out some big teams.
New opponent who we are not familiar with.
They play very good football.
Team spirit and confidence sky high.
They likely know that their team will be ripped apart in summer so this is their one chance to win something big together.
For me I would probably rather play Spurs. If we were to lose then I may have to go into hiding from here for a bit, but I think we would be more comfortable playing against them than Ajax. But to be honest I'm just made up and still in disbelief that I'm even in a position to ask this question. Thoughts?
PS this is NOT intended as a dig at Spurs.
Which opponent would you prefer?

From what I saw last week, you would batter Ajax. When we brought sissoko on and had a bit of shape they seemed stifled. I think a high press with your quality would be too much for them.
You would be just as big favourites against us but I think this season's game at Wembley aside we have competed well against you and have controlled large portions of the game. I think we also have a couple of players like Son and kane who on their day could really hurt you.
Either way I would be very surprised if Liverpool don't run it. Your team is so much more mature than spurs or Ajax.

Don't win it. My autocorrect isn't used to the word win

Liverpool/Ajax would be a good final and I have a feeling that's how it will turn out
Biggest mistake Liverpool could make is to underestimate Ajax but Klopp is too experienced to do that.
Would hope he's got one of his minions in Amsterdam tonight for a watching brief.

Not sure.
I think Spurs have better players all in all but they are one of the few teams that can out bottle us.
I also think we'd destroy them in midfield and they have zero pedigree in the competition.
So Spurs. I think.

Ajax.
Couldn't face losing a CL final to another English club thank you very much.😀

Now thinking about it more playing ajax could be a harder proposition. There passing is so good they could easily out pass the press.
That game will no way be a walk over.
Spurs we all know about. On their day they can destroy you.
I am still shocked we are in the final

I want Spurs. Our record against them is outstanding. Ajax are a unknown quantity.

I get it that people don't want the all English final. And Spurs do indeed have players that can hurt us. But I'm very wary of this Ajax side and as kash says they are an unknown quantity. I do think it will be Ajax that we play though.
