Can’t believe this - spent the past 2 days trying to find an affordable way to get to and stay in Madrid. Finally got it all booked this afternoon and now I find out that I’m 9 points short. Absolutely gutted. I checked the points table and assumed there would be about 12,000 fans with more points than me, so I’d comfortably get a ticket. How wrong I was...

I was looking at ridiculous flights all day yesterday with long stopovers in other European cities. Then my old man called me and said Ryanair had put on new direct flights. I’m flying out Thursday evening and back Monday so it’s a long trip but got direct flights for £420
