Looks like we're going to have to let hazard go, which I don't think many of us can argue about. The big question is how much we'll get for him ? Bearing in mind he only has a year left on his deal. If we can get the £100 million we're holding out for I see that as great business. What's your guess ?

With just 1 year left you're probably looking at £50 to £60M.

Refuse and he'll just down tools.

I don't think he would tbh, it's only another year.
Madrid might be a little more impressive than they are now by then

If RM wants Hazard, then they’d have to stamp up the cash. The quoted figure of £100m for Hazard is still very cheap in this current market despite his contractual situation.

Wait until Madrid start to play hard ball.

Believe me ,RM are desperate at this moment in time. They will pay up the price Chelsea want ,minimum 85m pounds.

Daniel Levy showed the way to deal with them. They think that they can nick players or managers at a cheap rate by unsettling them with their public disrespect of other Clubs.

Waiting another year for Eden Hazard to get him on a freebie is not going to be something that they will want to do IMO as they are in an urgent hurry to become a great team again now, not at some point in the future and he is getting quite near the 30 figure, and he has a limited shelf life like everyone else, so they will need to either put up and pay the going rate for those quality of players or shut up.

I am also not in the slightest bit interested in taking their sloppy seconds as a makeweight in getting the asking price down either. CFC need to do what is best for CFC not solve Real Madrid's problems for them of nicking good players on the cheap and shipping out limited players like Kovacic that they don't want and neither do supporters like me.

There’s not a chance we will be bullied by Real Madrid. They’ll either pay the price we want or they’ll be waiting a year until he’s almost 30. Simple

Then he stays and they get him for nothing in another year when he's knocking on 30!

If Haza had signed a new contract 18 months ago, obviously we would get more cash.

He would have earned more wages for last period in London too, obviously.

Will Madrid offer him substatntially higher wages if he signs for £100m rather than £175m say.

Do the club pass the benefits on to player/agent/both?

100 million euros is the price been rumoured about. So around £86 million which is a fair value considering contract and Hazard's age.

That's good money to sign a top class centre forward and a decent winger if we're not banned from the window.

This is the figure being quoted in the Spanish media. I’d be disappointed with anything less than £100m.
