Carzola is 34 and was still recovering from a very serious injury. At that age, you never recover fully and you are injury-prone esp in a very physical league. Good decision, La Liga suits him better.

Konate or Tah would be better options. They are tall which means you can press and force the opponents to play it long which gives you the chance to win the headers and second balls.

Seriously, any talk of replacing Mustafi is music to my ears! How can anyone we get in be any more accident prone than Mustafi? Between him and Xhaka they cost us so many points through individual errors
