This question has come up on social media etc
Thought I would ask it on ja606
This Mikhi business
Ticket allocation
Nightmare travel
Arsenal knew where the final was going to be played.
at the start of the competition.
Played there once already vs Qarabag
I dont think they should boycott the final
Last chance for CL.
Should Arsenal boycott the final ?

Any boycott should have been last August before it started .

True. But then again I would wager most clubs and fans would have thought extra measures would be put in place DJ

Why cant the venue of the Final be decided at the semi final stages.
By then you will get a clearer picture of what countries will be represented.
Why not give both finalists 50% of the tickets.
They would get sold quickly enough.

Because Uefa and their sponsors get the best hotels at the best rates and the best travel arrangements before supporters like us oiks who will scramble last minute and get fleeced.

The authorities are saying that they cant predict where the finalists will come from which is true but there seems almost no direct flights to this location from any major European capital so no matter which teams were involved travel would have been a nightmare

I’d be full of admiration if Arsenal did boycott it. Not being able to take a player because of security concerns whilst uefa appear willing to do nothing is appalling.
Won’t happen though, football is a business now and there’s just too much to lose.

No, there’s too much riding on it.
Now I’d like, in an utopian world, for the club to tell them to get phucked, however the consequences are too severe :
*500k fine
*An additional arbitrary punishment from them (& given how humiliated they’d be, I’d imagine something along the lines of a 3 yr ban from any of their competitions)
*No CL participation next season at least
*Eschewing a trophy we’ve never won in any of its guises (UEFA cup, Europa etc)
*a rumoured transfer budget less than the likes of Watford this summer
It’s a horrible situation to be in & UEFA with their mealy mouthed ‘guarantees of his safety’ have put it all back on us, pack of uttercunts 👊🏻
I hope, if we win, Emery & the squad refuse to shake the hands of whichever UEFA wanchors are handing out the trophy/medals.

Teams knew before the first ball was kicked that the EL was the road to Baku. This Mkhi decision was a personal choice despite the assurances from Azerbaijan and UEFA. Arsenal need to stop whining and get on with it. Mkhi is a Arsenal flop so stop getting your excuses out early.

The second half of that comment is ridiculous.

Given boycott is unlikely a protest if you win would be great. Celebrate with the fans that made it and then just walk off the pitch without collecting the trophy and posing for photos. If you could get all the players to give the UEFA officials the finger as they walk off, so much the better.

It says on the BBC that you've only sold 1,500 tickets.
