The Barca game ? You really using a CL semi to support your argument? Every single club stadium that have regularly been involved in knockout CL games have had their moments, even Arsenal and City.

The true test of support is in adversity, the Roy era was the one chance you lot has to prove your support was as great as you tell anyone that will listen it is and half of you boycotted games. Had you lined up to welcome the bus in that period when your players REALLY needed support, then I would have handed it to you, but trying to claim your great fans because you were up for a semi final in the biggest club competition? And you lot have the cheek to call us plastics

Great support is a club like Dortmund, turn up in their numbers and make their stadium a cauldron of noise come win, draw or lose. When they had their season fighting relegation they stood by their team and players and helped get them out of It, or Palace, we went there last season while they were on a run of 8 successive defeats without scoring and made a racket like it was a CL final, that's the test of a true support, not being up for the greatest player ever and his band coming to town

*had their moments in CL knockout games

*and they made a racket

Oh and inbefore, regarding our legends appraisals of Anfield , that doesn't surprise me given most if not all of them were made just after/based on that game in 2005 and in Mourinho's case was his first ever visit there as far as I'm aware.

I can't imagine Hiddink or Ivanovic having similar appraisals after we smashed you there a few years later, or Neymar and Mbappe saying similar after Paris fans outsung you for 90 minutes, can you?

Yeah i accept Anfields atmosphere is as bad as everyone elses when theyre playing for nothing vs nobodies... Never denied that.

Problem here is you mate you just dismiss how incredible it can be and has been on numerous occasions and thats why its known as probably the best stadium in the world for atmosphere or atleast one of them...

comparing us to Palace ffs, Palace have cup finals every week pretty much.Imo they have the best support in the league but the circumstances are clearly different...

And there it is, the best in the world? even if it was as great as you claim you can't seriously be given it favrouble comparisons against places like Dortmund, Gala and Boca amoung others?

I've never denied Anfield has its moments and I've even said as much on this thread alone, but as I've said, it's not CL semi finals that's a true test of support. Line the streets and welcome the bus into games next time you're in serious adversity and I'll be the first to hold my hands up and say fair enough.
