Sliding doors

Without Mkhitaryan and Ramsey for this match the history books will mainly remember that Chelsea won and Arsenal's entire European campaign came to nothing except to collect a runners up place, silver medals, and applauding the Chelsea players including Giroud, grr.

Ramsey was injured which meant he could not play, and that is something we are all unfortunately accustomed to as football fans, grr again, but the Mkhitaryan issue is something else entirely, and something new, certainly to me.

All in all Chelsea deserved to win and Arsenal will look back on what could have been, grr again, and we'll never know what difference Mkhitaryan could have made if he was fully available and not fearing for his or his family's life, grr again. It is a messy situation and I am sure with more midfield options we could've seen a different outcome.

The season is over, and lessons will be learned and improvements will be made, obviously a very disappointing night and it might feel like a long summer. Only time will tell what will happen next, but somewhere inside me I always remain hopeful that the future will be better and we can see a brighter era in the 20's. Although tonight is not a great one, this will only make the happy days ahead sweeter and more rewarding.

Up the Arsenal.

Was kind of tainted with all the nonsense (70k stadium only 1k arsenal fans and 1k chelsea fan) no ramsey, no mkhitaryan, no loftus cheek, no hudson odoi, no rudiger, plus a final miles away. Uefa honestly need to stop being so corrupt.

On arsenal, i thought you guys did alright, just didn't turn up for the 2nd half and Cech prevented a big score, you have the perfect team to build around with auba and laca and some great youngsters, but you need to get rid of Ozil ASAP

That guy is absolutely fkin toxic, he's a khunt on and off the field and he's $hit now anyway, he is absolute vermin that guy and you've got to get rid if you want to kick on and improve as a club, his attitude stinks, the way he just walked so slow off the pitch too, it's a disgrace

That camera was crap too, felt so zoomed out

Congrats to Chelsea and I’m slightly envious that the OP still feels so positive about the future.

Personally I can see little to be positive about regards Arsenal FC 2019.

If rumoured investment in provincial clubs comes to being, things will get worse before they get better.

It was your turn to win a Chelsea v Arsenal final Oscar, and we're looking forward to the next one already congratulations and well played. A steady first half from Arsenal, and the penalty decision for Arsenal was strange as it looked a penalty in real time, and I was sure the VAR guys would give it, but then they didn't. Sliding doors. We faded away in the second half, very disapointing to say the least, also Ozil didn't look 'competitive' to say the least.

I think we are clutching at straws thinking Mkhitaryan would have changed anything. He blows so cold and lukewarm and rarely puts in a performance worth talking about. No massive miss there.

Yes we missed Ramsey... the only big game player we have and he is gone.

I was more gutted about the semi final last year Lex, this felt like a pre season friendly, and I love my little old Arsenal, we'll win the next one, keep the faith, it would make me cry if you didn't

I’d love nothing more than to be proved wrong, mate.

Why was Ramsey gone before the final match of the season?
