I must say last night I thought the chaps did very well last night following Alex's red card.( which should not have been). Furthermore, i believe that staying in the cup will give a chance for the youngsters who are trying to gain experience or actually trying to break into the first team.
For example lukaku and josh mchearon who I believe will become a fantastic player.
Sadly for some players i think it is about time for them to leave. Kalou who has no clue what to do in front of goal. His finishing last night i think was poor. Romeu almost gave away a pen which i think should have been.
The question I am asking myself is why did we sign him. We have enough quality midfields coming through the ranks.
Thanks for reading.
The game last night.

Romeu was brilliant yesterday? He is still very young and that discipline will come after experience in this league.
However, I am starting to agree with what you said on Kalou, his performances under AVB have been poor and I am not sure he a part in his plan.

Josh was fantastic and will be great in the future

I've never discussed kalou in length as there are enough people taking pot shots, but I agree that he was woeful yesterday.
His final ball was atrocious, and his shooting not much better. I'll give him the penalty as it was vital but his overall contribution during the 120mins was abysmal.
I think even he knows that his time in the chelsea colours maybe up, it's a shame really as I like most other chelsea fans thought he was a fantastic purchase at the time and definitely one for the future.

Romeu was also very good (i'd have said excellent but that would be with Blue tinted glasses!)
He showed very good awareness, tidy passing, got forward whenever possible and his stamina and work rate were good.
A few more matches like that and he'll be competing for a starting spot in the first XI

I've defended Kalou to the high hills over the years but I think enough is enough
The guy simply hasn't improved in nearly 6 years. Is he actually better than he was when we bought him?
Last night he did nothing, had an absolutely golden opportuity to impress an unconinced manager. he;ll be out

Did anyone notice AVB laughing to one of the medical staff after Kalou's penalty? Wonder what that was all about. It's like he lost a bet with her or something.
