Who has has the better season?
Uefa thinks Chelsea, and has seeded them for next season’s CL. We qualified twice in the end.
Uefa awarded Chelsea 30 points for winning Europey and Spurs 27 for losing EC final.
But a CL run is a big achievement for a club like Spurs. And Spurs earned more than double the money for their EC run. And for Levy it is all about cash
Third/EL trophy vs Fourth/CL final?

I don't know if it makes it a better season or not, but I wouldn't have swapped our highs and lows for Chelsea's.

I know the Ropey trophy is unloved because it's the wrong one, but for next year what would you rather.
1. Losing finalists in the CL
2. Winners of the Ropey.
For me it's option 2, so Chelsea had the better season.

My argument is that if you’re in number 1 then you’re too good for number 2.
It’s like saying would you rather be runners up in the Fa cup or win the FA Trophy.
Now don’t get it wrong that if we was in the competition I would love to win and I was pretty annoyed we never got to the final when we really should’ve at least once the years we was in it.

I agree with your first point.
Still, winning something (even if it is a bit rubbish) is better than losing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But how is winning a competition that the other team can’t play in because they are in the better one more worthwhile.
Europa is a very good competition and I would love to win but atm my club is in the better one.
That’s why I’ve put in my original comment early overall the season between the two clubs is probably a draw.

A draw is probably a fair result.
I get your point about the better competition, it's just I prefer the feeling of winning. Losing a final sucks. Especially the CL final because it is so hard to get there.

I agree losing a final is horrible. I would love to win any trophy about now

If I was told we'd be CL runners up next season then I'd be happy because we have made a big step back to where we want to be.
However winning the Europa again would not only mean we crashed out of the CL group stage which in itself is failure but being the best out of second rate teams could just paper over cracks.

It's a funny one to judge IMO. It's all about perception and the time of the season that you make the judgement.
At the start of the season Chelsea were flying and "Sarriball" seemed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Then come November and the unbeaten CFC meet Spurs, who up until then hadn't started quite as fast out of the traps and Chelsea get torn a new rsehole.
Then after that Sorryball seems to have run out of steam, having been worked out by the opposition and hit the buffers and by contrast Spurs were then playing well, looking the far stronger of the 2 teams.
Fast forward to the Carabao semi's in Dec and Jan and there are 2 schools of thought. Chelsea were either gna get ironed out again by Spurs who might well have their number, or there will be a reaction after the November hammering. The second scenario of the two prevails.
For the rest of the season Spurs look to be far more likely to get 3rd with Chelsea looking like they will finish 6th, but then a drastic loss of form by Spurs and Chelsea rallying closes the gap, and both then limp into the top 4, (with the rest of the non-chasing pack) at the end with Chelsea nicking 3rd.
Then comes the finals and Chelsea against big rivals win theirs, but Spurs competing at a far higher level for theirs, miss out. If they'd have won theirs then we wouldn't even be having this debate about who had the better season.
Looking back on it all now it seems like our season was more of a slog and crisis than Spurs, because of all the divisions over Sarri. I do however think we had a slightly better season with 2 finals and a top 3 position and European silverware to tangibly show for it, but I can certainly understand why Spurs will also remember this season with very fond memories that they wouldn't want to swap anything for.

Finishing 17th and winning the League Cup is better than finishing 2nd and winning fek all.

It’s a tough question. And had u asked me before the cl final I’d have said spurs despite the league cup final.
I also think spurs would have won had they played the guy who scored a hat trick in the round before, and Kane not played who was obviously not fit and was terrible.
Obviously once all’s said and done it’s gotta be chelsea. Especially considering new manager and tactics
