It's like last transfer window all over for Spurs fans. We are being linked with few players, with sources adamant these are good and viable transfers being undertaken and the players targeted want to come to us, and it's the fee that is the stumbling block?
Spurs offer 1/2 price on players because Levy grew up in the School of Business that says start low?
Spurs then get given short shrift and other sides pounce and wrap up the deals.
It's so looking like that right now...Getting players before the pre-season is the key. We can't be playing the waiting game because we either lose the player due to other interests or affect our pre-season?

Much like Liverpool, I honestly think we are close to winning something. Even losing Eriksen, I think if we could sign Lo Celso, N'Dombele & AWB it could have the same impact that VVD etc had on them.

I see other fans on here constantly saying that we haven't won a trophy in a long time and they're right, but they don't acknowledge how well we're doing in the meantime. I don't expect us to win a trophy either. Hell, if you, a Liverpool fan who's just finished a point off the title and won the CL, don't expect a trophy next season, what right have we as Spurs fans got to expect one? we get hit with league thing all the time, but who gives a fack. We get to finals all the time and win the odd one or two as well.
Spurs are doing well but always seem to fall at the last hurdle, I guess that's the next step for you guys

Why SHOULD we be winning trophies when there are at least four other teams around us who should be better prepared to win one than we are?
And if you agree with all that, why are we constantly beaten with a stick from fans of these teams about not winning a trophy?!

we get hit with league thing all the time, but who gives a fack. We get to finals all the time and win the odd one or two as well.
Spurs are doing well but always seem to fall at the last hurdle, I guess that's the next step for you guys

Fair enough. Well I'm certainly not 'entitled' as in I think us winning a trophy would be an amazing achievement considering our competition in any competition we enter.

Much like Liverpool, I honestly think we are close to winning something. Even losing Eriksen, I think if we could sign Lo Celso, N'Dombele & AWB it could have the same impact that VVD etc had on them.
We are not a million miles away, sadly I suspect once this window ends we'll be left with same old obvious flaws in the squad and that's down to Levy

Losing Toby and Eriksen is 2 starters that need replacing, plus your be looking for at least 2-3 starters to improve the team
That’s a lot of change, good luck with that.
Top 4 looks safe though as frankly arsenal, Utd, and Chelsea are absolute poverty.

We added world class players and some needed time to bed in. We were quite lucky as it’s not an exact science.

I don't think anyone of our fans is truly expecting us to sell Eriksen and/or Toby, replace them and add quality where we need it elsewhere all in this window and then go toe to toe with Liverpool and City all season. It's not out of the question but it's unlikely, a lot would depend on how well we start the season.
But there's no reason why we shouldn't attempt to do so and follow your blueprint. All we want to see our club doing, and all Poch wants to see us doing in my opinion, is look to continuously improve. And what I wrote in the above paragraph is exactly what needs to be done to do that, not necessarily in one window, but still needs to be done.

I just don't get the entitlement that spurs should be winning titles
I don't expect us to win anything next season, but I'll get excited if it looks like we're in with a chance later in a competition, your fans expect it for some reason
