Man Utd's late season form under Solskjaer and the fact that the attitudes of the Manchester United players were called into question towards the end of the season suggests Mourinho may have been right about more than some United fans would care to admit. As for his previous job at Chelsea, I think it's very obvious that the players downed tools and didn't just forget how to play football. That or they didn't prepare properly for the season which is the same thing really.

Don't forget as well that in Mourinho's last two jobs in 6 years he won 1 Premier League title and 3 additional cups. 4 trophies in 6 years is a good return. To paraphrase, rumours of Mourinho's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

I for one would gladly welcome Mourinho back to Chelsea, a club with whom he has a bond like no other. Chelsea and Mourinho will always be tied together by our histories, nothing will change that. I would love for Mourinho to come home.

It’s rare, but I think he’ll get another big job. You underestimate his standing in football, in an era lacking top managers.

There was no meltdown when he was in charge of Chelsea in his final season

I don't understand what more Mourinho could have done in his last two jobs. At Chelsea the players just weren't performing. The only solution was to write-off the season and try again the next season but the club didn't give him that opportunity.

At United, the club completely undermined him over the summer and then the team's biggest player publicly fell out with him.

Its not the managers job to manage the players tbf.

But Mourinho doesn’t accept responsibility for his failings and just deflects. He’s got a massive chip on his shoulder. No wonder he’s had such admiration for the Liverpool fanbase.

I'm hoping he goes back to Utd AND Chelsea tbh.

More likely Newcastle or Everton if we're honest.

He'll end up coaching his national side sooner or later.
The media has stirred it again by suggesting he could go back to Chelsea. No way is that happening, sorry Wahl.
Newcastle? maybe!

He will have both those problems at Chelsea though, so maybe not a good idea to bring him back?
