Champ Play-Off Final – Mon 25th May 2020

We lost and I got a £60 parking ticket for being 10 minutes late at Uxbridge station. I did have several pints of excellent London Pride though.

We lost the game an hour before kick off when the team was announced. I wonder what the players thought? Lawrence and Bennett v Marriott and Waghorn. It's a no contest really, but we still love Frankie till he goes down Fulham Road.

What horrid weather we are experiencing today.

Peeder - It is like flogging a dead horse. It just will not get up onto its feet.

I could see though what Franks was trying to do. His plan was to hold villa for an hour and then launch a fresh Waggy and Marriott to win the game for us. Unfortunately we literally gifted them a goal and no plan can correct that easily. Ah well - much as I wanted us to win, next season will be more interesting than losing to the very rich clubs at the top of the PL. I haven't fully recovered from the Wee Billy batterings yet.

Oh you meant next year. Well I can see a Forest v Leeds final and it going to a 0 - 0 score and then penalties where no-one scores and they go back to their slum cities to sulk and think how they are so envious of a proper club like the newly promoted champions Derby.

I hope most of them get parking fines and the beer is flat. Apart from that I wish them well.

And while I'm in da mood, did anyone see Stones mess up t'other night? He was playing with fire messing about tip tapping in defence when the Dutch were pressing. If the Dutch had a half decent forward they would have got 5.
The second goal he passed to Barclay when a Dutch chap was on him when he could have played the ball forward down the wing. I like to see a bit of football, but there are occasions when the ball needs booting.

Lingard, Delph and Barclay in midfield, there is still hope for the lovely Will. and Maddison and Mount.

Southgate is clueless, Frankie should take over.

Covent Garden might be back to normal by next May............... ready for another rinsing with ale?

Scouse I don't know how people can throw beer about at £6 per pint.

Me neither VC. I was good fun in CG until someone thought it was a good idea to throw full cans of ale about.
