£50m is about £25m shy of Lyons valuation of the player. A valuation other clubs will undoubtedly meet.

Putting all the various reports together I get the sense they'd take £65m for him.
In the grand scheme it just seems so pointless to try and haggle them down any further. They clearly won't take £50m so why bother offering that? The £15m difference is chump change nowadays, the player will clearly bring more value to Spurs than that so why not just get real and pay it now.

The implications of giving Ndombele 200k a week at a club like Spurs is far reaching and thus the club is probably looking at how best arrange this as to ensure they can bring up the existing players who were at a lower scale of pay, in line with the new structure
That's my belief.
