Sounds like Sarri is taking him back to Juve with him, I had the awful feeling we might be stupid enough to sign him due to our transfer ban. You can see there used to be a good player in there but physically his body massively let him down in his brief time with us.

No regrets. I wasn't convinced by him before he came but talked myself into being optimistic about it. For the deal we got + the Sarri connection it was worth the punt.
As our traditional over the hill no.9 signings go he wasn't that bad tbh. Just physically not cut out for the league, wasn't much wrong with his movement/strikers instincts.

D.A I also talked myself into being optimistic about signing him. His goalscoring record was outstanding prior to his AC Milan loan.
Hopefully we've learned a lesson that bringing in these slightly over the hill big name strikers just isn't worth it. I want to see younger, hungry strikers playing for us from now on

"physically his body massively let him down"
At first I read this as - his massive body let him down.
But I agree with everyone suggesting we don't need him next year. He was clearly a great striker at one time, but doesn't seem to have the required physical qualities anymore. The same could be said of Drogba when he returned for his second stint at Chelsea.

Hoped he would turn out well but was wrong. My main issue with him wasn’t his quality though, it was his constant fecking moaning and complaining at teammates. Imagine playing like sh’t every game and having the audacity to get p’ssy when a teammate makes a mistake.

I thought he was actually quite good against low block teams, not his prime self but was tactically clued on and even when not scoring or himself was creating space for the others. I felt as a team we were quite fluid thanks to the space his movements was opening up.
It was against teams who leave space in behind he was a true liability, the Old Trafford game was the main case in point, the amount of times United left space to exploit and he failed to take advantage was ridiculous.

Sarri ringing the changes again.
This is one of the things that I never liked about him. If something just isn't working (and Higuain was hardly a roaring success last year with us) then surely good sense is not to persist with it and try something else instead that might work, but he just won't do that!! He will persist in flogging the same old dead horse in the hope that somehow the results will be different.
Maybe in the slower paced game of Serie A it might, who knows?

can't imagine why....I really wanted him to be good...after Morata, but he was most disappointing
