Does this make sense? Wouldn't we have stopped paying him once he got another job? Is he also still being paid by Real Sociedad, Sunderland and West ham?

I guess they had the option of paying it outright or paying it over the remainder of his contract.

I would think you'd be in a pretty strong position in regards to negotiating your payoff deal when you have a contract which isn't pretty standard, ie. six years.
