Reports in the red tops that we have targeted Scottish central midfielder John McGinn. Probably number Seventy Twelve on our linked players list. £50m bid imminent!!!
Being a Brummie red I have spoken to my Villa mates and they are gutted at the thought. Proper old school midfielder, interceptions, tackles, goals, chases down every ball, harries. Not particularly creative so not a AM, but not a modern CDM either. Just a CM.
Only 24, playing 40 games in the league last season, scoring 6 and assisting 10 goals. 14 yellows.
The proposed fee is ludicrous, but I would welcome this transfer from a footballing point of view. Will turn out to be a gem in the opinion of those who have watched him every week.
Villa’s John McGinn

Love how fans are believing this story especially the scousers.
Literally do they realise the source is....The Sun
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet Man U fans are trying to justify why he is better than Klich.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly what does that have to do with the original source?
Secondly yes he is 100% better than both and yes I have watched them both
----------------------------------------------------------------------
‘It’s not a good source, it doesn’t matter. McGinn better than Kilch though. Look at all these fans of other clubs taken in by the rumour which definitely isn’t true. McGinn is 100% better than Kilch though. It doesn’t matter because it isn’t true. But McGinn is better.’

McGinn is the next Kleberson. Not even worth £5m but United will pay anything for anyone.
He'll go for £30m.

Of course he is worth £5m. I'm pretty sure he isn't worth £50 like, but come on, £5m is nothing these days

Probably worth more than £50. He’s better than Klich you know.

Well he was Villa's supporters and players player of the year. Klich won Jack in the Leeds awards. Seeing as he won his awards ahead of Abrahams, who was second top scorer in the league, and Greilish, who both must be worth at least £25m, then hes deffo worth a fair bit more than £5m.

Yeah, player of the season for a team that finished fifth in the Championship is a prestigious award. Really helped drive Villa forward after their fourth place finish the previous year.

No-one is saying he is world beater. Just that he is by all accounts good enough for Leeds. If Greilish is attracting the likes of spurs and Abrahams is going to get his chance at Chelsea, why isn't a player that outperformed them good enough for a decent PL team?
