crazy ramblings of a grey haired fox

well where do i start,
suppose just as my life capitulated to disease and disabilities and the council moved me into a sheltered accommodation bungalow 16 miles away from the boys with no transport and no help,
i received more help physically and financially from foxes on here than the so called support groups and gov.

three years ago 05/07/2016 i posted looking for help and explained my situation

i was overwhelmed by what came back over the interweb and still am to this day !

and so to today after three years of fighting DWP rules and regulations i applied for another assessment to see if i could get care payment from dwp in january

this is more about the system not being able to handle claims if you don't tick the right boxes ,which living in ireland for 24 yrs i definitely didn't,

well as of today i tick every bloody box just waitin official letter to land before i celebrate to loudly

full care, full mobility,
esa and support group
and apparently severe disability premium
the care and sdp should cover 75% of my care needs which means i can put my mobility money to a mobility vehicle.
3 yrs of being in solitary confinement seems to be over

SO
thank you to those who cared, offered help or just listened to my rambles put up with my carp spelling on match day and join in with the home game match threads, which must be hard when your at the match,

maybe just maybe i might make a home game if only to sit outside the stadium or grab a coffee with some of you guys,

match day rambling will be back for 2019/20 as long as i can find sites to view them on, as it went very scarce at the end of last season.

The care services over here are a shambles Dublin. You have to jump through hoops to get anything.
Bunch of cants

What happened here mate?

Never saw anything but then again I don’t habituate the LC boards.

Sounds like a right slog but hopefully it’s better news moving forward by the sound of things. Good for you 👍

Illness, disabled, technically homeless
Dumped in sheltered accommodation in middle of nowhere.
Dwp computer refused to recognise me on their system not in a tick box, they really weren't bothered, so been fighting for recognition,,

Looks like I'm sorted now just waiting for the official letter

Dublin fox.

Apologies on behalf of the system as I work in DWP and went to esa last year and it is a messy benefit.

Belfast deals with GB claims and SDP queries etc so hopefully you got soe decent people whilst dealing with the tape brigade.

The UK benefit system is good for some but s pain for many.

Glad you got their eventually.

And word of advice.

If you ever get stuck contact your mp as DWP jump through hoops to get those cases cleared asap.

Christ.

I just can’t imagine what that would be like. I can only envisage something along the lines of “I, Daniel Blake” which greatly concerningly is probably as accurate as it gets.

Just hope everything is sorted now mate fwiw 👍

For some reason the computers don't like talking to one another,,

Staff & assessors at dwp, esa have always been very diligent and honest,
hopefully we have now sorted it out, but so many layers to battle through 😱😢

Hey Dublin. Your post actually brought a tear to my eye as I’m just so pleased you’re getting the support you need to get your mobility and support back.

Life is hard enough at the best of times, but isolation is the catalyst for mental health degradation, which in turn impacts physical health.

I’m so glad you’ve had some good news and that you feel supported by your foxes family on here.

Here’s to next season, and to some new hope for you.
