TBD is the attacking midfielder in that line up. TL is the false 9 or appears to be.The line up lacks width. Anyway it is line up to get us to about mid table.

Holmes and the CM (left) would be attacking.

From the little I have read , Cocu likes to have his midfield three attack and defend as a trio. His left back at PSV bombed forward as a winger almost, whipping in crosses. Malone could do that but he appears to be injury prone. Forsyth needs to move on which leaves Lowe as back up. We'd definitely need a wing back with pace that offers something in attack if Cocu wants to try something similar to PSV in terms of tactics.

Have we worked out if Shinnie is a defensive MF yet? I thought he was another mini Lampard ripe player.

VC10 - it's where he was most effective for Ipswich, which is why we never got to see performance s like they did.

It is frustrating that we sign attacking players and opt to play them out of position ( generally on the wings). Did it with Vydra, Weimman and Lawrence.

He played mostly in the middle at Wembley and was anonymous. I want to see more desire from him, we get rid of Ince and replace him with an inferior Ince Mk2.

If he was any good another club would come to buy him, I haven't heard any rumours, but I live in hope.
