Azpi did play at CB in first half and no, he won't play at CB in a back 4 this season due to having sufficient options in that position.

Gilmour, Maatsen and Ampadu did well for players short of (match) fitness.

Gilmour only played the 2nd half. He started well but then faded a bit

However, bearing in mind his age, definitely showed there's player with potential there.

The one I'm hoping to see is Tino Anjorin!

Played 4-2-3-1 in the 1st half with Ampadu and Drinkwater as the 2. Ampadu was the standout for me.

I didn't watch the 2nd but I heard he switched it to a 4-3-3.

Azpi struggles aerially playing as CB in a back 4. His reading of the game is second to none. So against a physical striker, he'd struggle as more often than not they'd beat Azpi in the physical battle. But against someone like an Aguero who's got that low centre of gravity, Azpi would be OK.

Because he's not blessed with massive pace for a fullback, I can see him struggling again next season at RB, so playing CB is an option in some games.

It's a shame he has such a weakness in the air. After Conte it was so obvious his natural role is at CB, got all the tools to do it except the most important one (which you need in a two), very frustrating.
