I was hoping to listen in full to his first interview on iFollow before rushing into comment, but despite being fully paid up, their third rate technology has blocked my access. Media@clubdoncaster predictably ignore my request for their help with not even an acknowledgement and it makes you feel that so much of what emanates from that source on line is just window-dressing. The quality of what they have put out on YouTube covering La Manga is 3rd rate at best.
So back to Mr Moore who I must confess I never saw play for Rovers, but I do remember later.
Looking at the results of WBA up to the time he was sacked it is apparent that there were some reverses at home, but they generally came against top 6 teams and with a more measured view the seemingly foreign owner might have taken account of the fact that the baggies had away wins at Aston Villa, Sheffield Utd and Norwich Away and thrashed Leeds at home earlier in the season! You could attribute solely to the relative embarrassment of the failure to beat lowly Ipswich at home.
They certainly scored plenty of goals and one commentator suggested that Moore had unsuccessfully switched to playing the ball out from the back as the reason why results had fallen away slightly in the period up to the dismissal.
So it would be reasonable to expect entertaining football with the emphasis on attacking with a manager more than capable of making an impression in this League.

Do we know what type of contract he's on? Hope the board learned their lesson and have given him a different one to GM.

Rolling one year contract.

Another rolling contract. If he's bad he will get the sack. If he is good someone will pinch him. We only get continuity if he is mediocre? It's a plan. Incidentally, Herbie Kane is expected to complete a loan move to a Championship club this week. Brentford, Charlton Athletic and Hull City all want the 20-year-old. Who would have thunk it?

I wont be fit 4 start of season knee replacement tomorrow.
Looking forward to this season it will be interesting.
All fans seem to be behind DM so that's a good start.
Hope he gets the financial backing

Albie, further to your last post, I would think that your three potential outcomes would still be relevant whether DM had a rolling contract or one of a fixed period, say two years.
When a club of our stature unearths a good player or a good manager there is always the likelihood that bigger, more wealthy clubs, will come calling.
Likewise, one who fails is always likely to get the chop.
Mediocrity?
Well I guess it depends on the owners attitude to that one but invariable too much of it leads to the parting of the ways.
Lanza....... good luck with your operation.

Thanks hound.
I hope the fans give DM time as he is starting from scratch.

There was a reference to “compensation” paid by Hull when GM left which is a bit puzzling, but I agree with Hound. At almost any level of football managers will move on for better offers, even to clubs like Leeds where most get the sack within months. DM obviously finds the arrangement satisfactory and since more managers fail than succeed why choose the expensive option? If you are not tied as a club to paying off a bad manager you can afford to reward the man in post more generously.
