With St Mirren signing Djorkaeff's son, it got me thinking about who in Scottish football could field the best team of Dads. Criteria is that the sons have to have played for a Scottish football team at any time, and the Dads are considered to be in their prime.
Rather than do all of Scottish football, I've done my best to come up with an XI for Celtic and Rangers as best I can. Let me know if I've missed anyone obvious.
Personally it looks like a romp for Celtic (the strikers are ridiculous), but I'm sure I've missed loads of Rangers ones, as obviously I know the older Celtic players better.
Celtic
GK Gordon Marshall Snr
LB Andy Lynch
CB Jackie McNamara Snr
CB James Kelly
RB Cha Bum-Kun
LW Eddie Gray
CM John Divers
RW Patsy Gallacher
CF Kenny Dalglish
CF George Weah
CF Stevie Chalmers
Rangers
GK Jimmy McCloy
LB Ian Black Snr
CB Nodar Khizanishvili
RB Stuart McLean
LW Helmut Nerlinger
CM Charlie Adam Snr
CM Vladimir Weiss II
RW Finn Laudrup
CF Dean Windass
CF Tony Hateley
CF Sandy Clark
Any thoughts? Additions?

Djorkaeff was a fantastic player.

But Kevin didn't play for Celtic so therefore wouldn't have qualified for this team even if the grandfather rule applied.

Never said Kevin should be in the team, merely stated a fact. Sakes......

Just looked up what u could find, signed from Queens Park, sold to Airdrie, 10 games 3 goals in between.
Probably doesn't get in ahead of the 3 strikers there already

Samaras snr was apparently a decent midfielder, played for Panathinaikos and was a full international
I'm also probably doing Jimmy McMenemy a disservice, but it's tough to get into this Celtic Da strikeforce.
Charlie Christie might just make the bench too.
