What is it about English players and really bad injury records, particularly at Arsenal and Liverpool?

I fear the worst for TAA.

12-15 m plus his wages lost in a month, though we was selling him ffs

In hindsight other clubs never play a guy who they are about to sell in meaningless games. We cost ourselves 10mil.

How do you know?

How else can you market a previously injured player who you don't want if you don't play him to prove fitness and skill?

by the time he is back his contact will be up.

he will be free agent next summer.

no sale now.
no sale January

ergo we just lost 10mil from palace for him.

Yes we lost out on a possible sale but I disagree it was a mistake to play him. There's no guarantee he would have found a suitor.

Yeah, people know what they're getting but the window's almost closing now and no one had yet taken him from us.

The club must prepare for all scenarios and if he were to stay, he needs to be match fit and contribute to our season.

IMO, playing him was the correct decision both for putting him in the shop window and in case that failed in readiness for the season.
