Daily Express: Arsenal transfer target told to snub Emirates move and join Man City
Writes Daniel Blackham: Dani Alves has been backed to join Premier League champions Manchester City on a one-year deal, because of his relationship with Pep Guardiola.
Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol explained on ESPN FC that the defender would be the perfect fit.
“For him to go to City, you’re basically looking at him to play in the FA Cup, the League cup," he said.
“There’s the connection with Pep, so he’s going to be happy in the dressing room.
“There won’t be any problems with it [him signing].
“He doesn’t want to go and play for a run of the mill team where he’ll have to defend for 80 minutes of the 90.
“He can come to Man City and play in the other side, the other half of the pitch, for most of the game.
“This makes a whole lot of sense.
“Most of it is to do with the relationship between Alves and Pep Guardiola."

Manchester Evening News: Man City experiment with new attacking weapon for the season
Writes Simon Bajkowski: “It was also notable how much presence Rodri brought to corners when he came on in the second half.
"He rose to meet one almost immediately, and soon after as defenders followed him he dummied the next one.
“Guardiola hoards small players but the extra height that the new club record signing possesses could prove very valuable in sharpening the Blues up at set-pieces, especially with such gifted takers."
