It's all getting a bit heated on here, any chance we could all calm down?

I look back fondly when I remember the halcyon days of Jinky, Nikki 66, Tonto Polansk, Finbar, Dennis, Kirk Horseface and that boy wae the glove.

Simpler times back then - it was all just proddy and kaffliks hating on each other and GIRFUYeez all the time.

The Hearts boys back then were a great laugh too - wonder what happened to them..?

What's your memories of the site back in the good old days..?

Also, getting auld is pash, I've got grey hairs noo and a skin tag - had to look the thing up on Google!

Shirebrook based Sports Direct finally published its results late on Friday afternoon after a day or chaos and confusion which saw its finance boss step down and the company’s profits plunge by 9%.

The firm released its results just before 5.20pm on Friday 26 July. They showed that underlying profit after tax for the year to 28 April had dropped to £91.5m.

This was on the back of group revenue increasing by 10.2% to £3.7bn over the period.

In a long and rambling missive, Sports Direct also revealed that it has been hit with a £605m tax bill from Belgium, meanwhile Mike Ashley says he regrets buying House of Fraser and that there should be drug tests for CEOs and CFOs of listed companies.

Meanwhile, Sports Direct finance boss Jon Kempster is to step down from his role to “pursue other interests”.

The news comes after a bizarre day for Sports Direct in which the company yet again failed to publish its annual results.

Kempster will hand over to Chris Wootton who will be promoted from deputy chief financial officer to CFO on 12 September.

David Daly, chair of Sports Direct, said: “The Board appreciates Jon’s contributions and wishes him well in his future endeavours.”

Yes. Some €605m is being reported.

Wonder if he’ll try and get it back from the bears?

The best part of this forum is how I’ve made some really good friends off it. A lot of close friendships have formed and even friends of posters have become close friends. Some have got jobs, legal advice, life advice (wee Joe). Great site

I originally joined because I knew KevvyBhoy who said I should join. Between nights outs, 5’s, charity games I’ve met some top blokes.

We all disagree at times on here and even filter but on the whole it’s a great bunch.

Some like the anonymity and that is perfectly acceptable

Absolutely mate.

People who have met from this forum have made a lot of close friendships, and because they know the posters personally it affects how debates go on here.

It's just human nature.

I've been castigated for years on here for stating that.
