Le Clerc v Max

Last season up until and including the Monaco race, Verstappen was called Crashstappen and a hot head, immature driver, etc. Verstappen had a hard look in the mirror and decided it was time to grow up. And so he did. He did not crash again and started to put in mature performances. He still had the occasional wheel to wheel rubs but nothing major. This season its clear that Max has grown up, he is smarter in one on one racing and also is less aggressive with defending his position. I still do not see much change the the public perspective, at least on the comment section on the BBC.

Le Clerc is now the rookie in F1 and he makes the same mistakes and is similarly aggressive as Max once was. Yet Le Clerc is hailed as the next new thing to sliced bread. I dont see any comments on how he keeps fackign up his races due to immaturity and aggression. The opposite, he is called unlucky and 'his time will come'.

Probably down to likeability, the Dutch are apparently hard to warm up to. But Le Clerc is a French caaant, not sure why people like him so much.

Anyway, I think the pair will bring us a rivalry like Schumacher / Hakkinen and Hamilton / Vettel, etc. etc.
