Here we go again.....

Excellent opener to the new Championship season last night. Expected 'Boro to win, hoped Luton would. As with every other season it's going to be a hard slog with some of the favourites challenging alongside a few surprise teams.

Leeds United. We do like to tie one hand behind our back don't we, give the others a fighting chance.....

Not sure we've actually played our strongest XI in pre-season. The way things are going I'm not sure all parts of our strongest XI are actually going to be here post deadline day.

Best defender gone, most improved midfielder potentially going and our most prolific striker seemingly off to join a new Kompany.

Bielsa relying on a small squad supplemented by youth unaware that the rest of the Championship has half an idea on how we'll play. The fact that we don't know who's actually going to play might be this year's Mighty Whites' surprise!

Add in a trip to Australia, a nice new grey and pink shirt and one might think we've had an excellent close season. I think even the old Master himself would have struggled to eclipse this. On reflection his lovely conservatories in the East Stand were a "master" stroke. Even his own "explosive" transfer window looked good.

No matter, we are Leeds United and as ever this club will get unrelenting support over the next 10 months.

This club is unique and deservedly so. Our support is the envy of others. If Leeds United ever needed a twelfth man (as it stands it needs a 9th, 10th and 11th too) then this is the season to stand loud and proud in white (& pink ).

I wish all fellow Leeds United supporters be they there at the games, working or simply sat at home a successful 2019-2020. I'm not convinced that our Centenary year will be OUR year but I forever live in hope.

Good luck Leeds United. I think we'll need a good dose of it. For those about to leave us, good luck in your new careers, it will never be like it was at Leeds United . For those about to join us (if there are any) God help you .

Have a great weekend everyone.

I watched Rhinos instead of the game last night. That was fun 😊

I don’t know what to think this season. I’ve ignored a lot of the Leeds stuff whether on FB or Twitter apart from telling a fan to grow up when he stated our shirts had pink because we were obsessed with “Pride”...

As there’s no pink in the rainbow flag for Pride (6 colours only) I called him out. He didn’t respond

I leave the football talk to my other half, I just go to the games to enjoy the match and see my mates - I can finally go to the bar for my dark fruits!!!

Let’s just hope it’s a good season. Last season was a great ride just a shame we faltered at the end.

And actually Pags ™ - HJ & AM, so what if we were strongly linked to pride, I am very proud of the diversity of our great club, the fact we can point back to how inclusive the club has been, be it that we have a strong Jewish contingency in our heritage, or the pioneering way black players play such a prominent role in our history or the fact the Leeds Pride are so visible.
The guy needs to ditch his archaic caveman views and realise there is no place in our club for such bigots.
I will buy the away kit, I kind of like it actually.
Well done in tearing him off a strip.

Good post Stevie and fair assessment. If we can just get a couple of quality signings this week allied to what we have it could make all the difference.

People should just be able to do what they want to do without having to jump on bandwagons or wave flags about it.

When not on maternity, I work with the LGBT+ community in my role so it really peed me off. I like the kit.

This whole why don’t we do straight pride makes me laugh too. I’m constantly arguing with people over it. I actually deliver Ally training at work.

Strangely, I really like our new away kit, wouldn't buy it cos I can't afford it, but it works for me

Clearly not played our best 11 in the friendlies.
I also like the away kit.
Unfortunately the kits have been the highlight of the summer.
Please bring some quality in. It could be a tough start.
